Most reporting problems in UAE businesses don’t look like reporting problems at first. They look like a finance team spending four days closing the month. A sales manager and an ops manager arriving at a meeting with different revenue numbers. A warehouse report that’s accurate but lands two weeks after anyone could have acted on it.
We’re offering a free consultation to work through exactly this with your teams. No deck, no pitch, no obligation.
What Happens in the Session
The useful part isn’t us talking. It’s getting your functional teams in one room and mapping where things actually break.
We sit with finance, operations, sales, and whoever else owns a number that matters. Each team explains what they report on now, what they wish they could see, and where they’re doing manual work to compensate for a system that doesn’t quite fit. That conversation surfaces things nobody had written down.
Common findings: the same metric calculated three different ways across three departments. A daily export from an ERP that one person maintains and nobody else understands. Data that exists in a system but has never been connected to anything. A dashboard that was built two years ago and is now silently pulling from a table that stopped updating.
We map all of it, then we brainstorm openly with your team about what a better setup looks like. You keep the output whether or not you work with us.
Recommendations You Walk Away With
Visualization layer. Power BI is the default for most UAE businesses, particularly ones already on Microsoft 365, because licensing and access control are simpler and the Excel bridge matters more than people admit. Tableau is often the better call for exploratory analysis or when the audience is analysts rather than executives. We’ll tell you which fits your case, including when it’s neither.
Data modelling approach. Whether your data supports a star schema, how to define shared dimensions so “customer” means one thing across every report, and where a semantic layer belongs. This is where most Power BI projects quietly fail. A model built without this discipline produces reports that disagree with each other by month three.
Storage mode. Import, DirectQuery, or Direct Lake. If your organisation is on Microsoft Fabric, Direct Lake reads Delta tables straight from OneLake without importing or duplicating data, which changes what’s viable for large or frequently updated datasets. Composite semantic models now allow mixing Direct Lake tables with import tables in a single model, which opens up options that didn’t exist eighteen months ago.
ETL and pipeline tooling. Power Query handles a lot more than people expect and is often enough. Azure Data Factory or Fabric Data Factory when orchestration gets complex. dbt if your team has SQL capability and wants transformation logic under version control. Sometimes the honest answer is that a scheduled SQL job is fine and you don’t need a tool.
Warehouse. Where the modelled data should live, factoring in volume, existing cloud commitments, and PDPL data residency requirements if you’re handling personal data.
Why This Is Free
Two reasons, both practical.
Scoping a Power BI project properly requires understanding your data, and you can’t get that from a requirements document. We’d rather spend the time upfront than quote blind and revise later.
And plenty of businesses discover in these sessions that their immediate problem is smaller than they assumed. One broken pipeline, one metric definition to standardise, one report that needs rebuilding rather than a full platform. If that’s your situation, we’ll say so.
Who Should Book
This is most useful if you’re already running Power BI and it isn’t delivering, if you’re evaluating BI tools and want an assessment before committing, if month-end close is slow for reasons nobody has diagnosed, or if your teams are making decisions on numbers they don’t fully trust.
It’s less useful if you already have a clear scope and just need implementation hands. Happy to help with that too, but you don’t need a discovery session for it.
About Us
Aleddo Technologies works with businesses across the UAE on data infrastructure, Power BI and Tableau dashboards, custom machine learning models, and the web and software systems that generate operational data in the first place. We’re a certified Dubai AI Seal Enterprise, recognised by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence as a verified AI service provider.
Working with a Power BI consultant in UAE has one practical advantage worth naming: bilingual reporting requirements, local compliance, and multi-entity structures across mainland and free zone are problems we’ve solved before rather than discovered mid-project.
